Time to tear motor down and order some parts. 05 summit 1000. Blew up in feb(only ride this year). I am suspecting bottom end, maybe counter-balance shaft bearings? Anyone blown one up? Any ideas? Sled still runs, (very poorly) definitely spun a bearing.

I don't know anyone who has blown a 1000..... I thought they were bullet proof as I had one for a couple years here.

Wondering if the counter-balance set up is a weak point?

Maybe just a bottom end bearing. But some research has got me thinking about these balancing shafts, lets call it unique

Probably not the counter balancers, I have close to 7500 km on mine with no issues with the counter balancers. Probably a crank bearing.
