Strange disk in button tower on 08 XP clutch please help

Hi,

I took my 08 XP clutch apart for cleaning (first time for me), I noticed a strange disk in the bottom of one button tower hole. The sled runs with a moderate engine vibration which riverside told me is common on some 800R but has always annoyed me.

My question is, what is this disk? Anyone seen it before?

It looks like it was inserted, it's not part of the clutch cast. Is it for balancing? Or is it why my clutch might be out of balance? It's only in one hole, as you will see. It is about 3/32" thick. It is pressed in, I would have to damage it to remove it.

factory clutch balancing weights. leave em in. some ahve them some dont.

skidoo clutches are balanced VERY WELL. but if your not satisfied. ( most doos vibrate a bit) take it to motts in st albert and ahve it balanced again. might HELP

Wow. Fast response. I called mots about balancing, they say they don't do it. Anyone else know where to get a clutch balanced for a reasonable price?

This is the way some of the TRA's clutches come with this disc//washer in there

Do not take it out

It is balanced at the factory
All doos have a little vibration at slow speeds

If it gets bad at higher revs then worry about it Try your Dealer or Specialty Sleds
After all it is a 2 stroke
