Which pistons would you guys use, SPI or Wiseco? It's time to do a rebuild on my '96 Thundercat and I wanted to know what would be the best for a stock engine. Thanks, have a good one.

Wiseco if it where me.:d
But OEM is alright. I wouldn't use SPI though.
CV tech is a cheap place to get pistons, I got a set of wiseco for a 01 800 rmk for $327.00:)

Royal distributing in Ontario cheap wiseco pistons. dont go with SPX or SPI, they will cost you more in the end.

I rebuilt my old 02 summit 800 X with Wisecos about three years ago and had no regrets. General Auto in Lamont can get them for a good price or Rec Supply out of Saskatchewan had the best prices when I bought

Thanks for the help, Wiseco it is.:beerchug:

Don't be afraid of the SPI's. I've put them in a 800 Polaris, 670 Rotax, 780 Rotax, 800 Doo twin and my mod 809, all with good results.
If you use the Wiseco's make sure the cylinder clearance is right and make sure you warm it up good when you're riding.
