speedometer sensor backed out 03 800 HMX

noticed grease flung around clutch compartment, The speedo sensor has backed out causing the o-ring to not make a seal, It won't start threading back in and i am not sure if it is the track tension preventing it from threading back in.
what keeps it from backing out?
i have a race pack hooked up to it so i am not sure if it is a stock sender.

got it figured out, the racepack sensor was modified by dilling out the end cap of the origional Doo end cap and using silicon to attach the under sized imperial sensor bolt to the metric driveshaft and the grease pressure pulled the bolt out.
I could re silicon it in and be careful not to over grease it but i glued a Looney inside the cap for now and will drive without a speedo.
