While on our Family Ride in Ministik on Saturday February 10 we came across the site of a snowmobile accident. The rider did not follow the lake markers set out on Ministik Lake, instead they short cutted off the lake to the tree trail. There is a reason why the lake markers are where they are. I am sure the snowmobiler NOW realizes why the lake-markers and trail are 100 feet from the fence...to leave a large buffer.... but obviously some people must make there own trails...
I just hope it was only your machine you wrecked and not your body as you broke out 2 fence posts!!!!!!
We have spend thousands of hours setting up and clearing these trails and if you ride off them you will find hidden dangers... The most notorious of all are the Giant Ministik White Rocks...for real... Then the 1' to 3' frost heaves with flat faces on them... or for you water lovers the many springs around the shorelines or beaver feeding areas...
Hope you are Okay
