Do sled wraps shed any snow? Is it a poor/lazy man's powder coat?

I would say they help, did my 2012 pro tunnel and noticed a difference. I wouldnt call it the poor or lazy man way tho, first time instaling a wrap takes a long time to do it right. and there really not that cheap. But easier then removing the complete tunnel if thats what you were thinking.
