Thinking about getting a sled deck so I can leave my enclosed at home. Just wondering if a viper with a 174 inch track would ride safely and be legal on a sled deck that’s 8 feet long. Have a 3/4 ton with a 6’ 6” box.

Check with the regulations for over length requirements wherever you will be hauling it first.
For sure in BC you need a light on anything more than 1.3 meters from the taillight.
Don't know if you would be long enough to be getting into permit requirements, remember BC laws can be stupid.

Years ago I asked a BC RCMP if the sled deck is considered a load deck and he said he didn’t see why not. So if going from the rear of the sled deck being 8 feet on a short box truck you are over the 1.2m from the tail lights that many people suggest the law is.

Be sure to print off the regs to show cops what the law is should you get pulled over.
