I am looking to ride some singletrack dirtbike trails. I have heard of some around Sundre.
Anyone in that area want to meet up Sat./Sun?

There is several areas along the Red Deer river that have some primative single track areas. Its nothing to exciting. I have seen people offload where the 587 crosses the river. If you head West along the river you will find the trails. Hard to miss, but again, not super single track stuff, more a trail.

If you are going to be near Sundre, better off just heading to Ghost, Burnt/Fallen Timber. Pick up a FLUZ map for the Ghost area. If you have a Garmin GPS you can download a garmin version here :

Yeah McLean has some great single track. Been on some amazing stuff this summer that I never even knew was in Mclean.

Ghost had a lot as well. There is a big race this weekend at fallen timber. Be some fast single track guys there.

Yep a wide base buffalo rider.

Can't do the game trails on it without s36 control arms.

You do require to be a member to go on their rides. It's worth it though.

Need to be a member, but it's only $40. Can register through their web site and pay through paypal. The membership goes towards their land advocacy efforts, trailblazer (making new trails) and their insurance.

Went with them last night & had a blast. Great group of people and they welcome new members. Last night there were people there from 16 up into their 60's - and holy crap can some of the older guys ride!

They're really well organized and break up into separate groups based on skill level.

Rocky Mountain Dirt Riders - Home of Off-Road Calgary

Next ride is Sept. 5th - I'll definetly be going on a regular basis.

I didn't get to go last night! I had a late scheduled meeting.

Yes the $40 is very minor to pay for the work the club does.

I am thinking if he is just in the area for a day or weekend fallen timber/ ghost area is the closest to Sundre and offers lots.of riding.

The experienced and club rides are certainly for someone who has ridden lots of single track for a ling time. I am more than happy participating in the easy rides. I should be the 5th as well.
