Snowchecking a summit just a regular one.

Debating going X or going just standard SP and getting aftermarket shocks for it.

Suggestions?

Was dreaming of Custom Axis setup but $$$

Thinking maybe Elka suspension?

Any recommendations or am I just being stupid here?

Not a bad idea. Have raptors and love them. Heard Elkas are awesome also. The Sp shocks are useless. I've also heard good things about the stock x shocks with Enzo valveing. The x shocks are not great so might aswell use te money you save buying an sp towards shocks

Can't go wrong with Raptor or Elka. Same great ride IMO.

I snow checked a SP summit and added the elka stage 5 setup all around. Wouldn't go any other route. Low&high speed compression with a single rebound adjustment. Can really dial it in for all your needs!

I love the ride and handling of my raptors on my 2013 but i find with the added piggy bank they build up snow like crazy! I also had problems with the paint chipping or flaking i should say off the springs.

They are aupposed to be replacing those. Did you buy direct from raptor? Almost all the pairs I've seen this year and flaking due to improper coating

hmmm thats strange first I have heard of this.

I have to make up my mind by tomorrow.

I have always wanted to go Custom Axis but they are $$$

I might just go X shocks I mean its not like I am some snow cross racer!

The first set of $2500 shocks hurts but after that set they becomes a necessity.

Tim Zacharias out of High River, AB is the ENZO guy. I have had ENZO on my sleds (and bikes) since 2008 and they are an unreal difference compared to stock. Anyone who jumps off their stock sleds and rides mine cannot believe the difference. I rode with a guy last year who put on Raptor shocks and he said the ENZO suspension was better than his Raptor shocks. He said the Raptor shocks are better than stock but are still not set up for each particular rider.

ENZO sets the valving and spring rate for the riders weight and ability. $1700 for A-kit (comes with a KYB 40 rear shock) or $1100 for B-kit (uses the stock rear shock).

Here is the link for ENZO: .

Tim's number is 403-818-4098. Give him a call and check it out.

I did buy them directly. The first set lasted one ride and the springs paint was flaking off. As well the shaft rusted immediately. They were amazing to deal with and sent me a knew set before i even had mine off. Even the new set the paint flaked off after 1 ride but not nearly as bad. I think personally i won't be buying another set. But as for performance they were amazing.
