Just wondering what should the compression be on a rt summit 1000. Did compression test and pto 110 and mag side 130. Thinking time for rings and pistons.:d:beer:

sometimes you should keep cranking untill you know 100% it is not going up anymore, I would think the 130 is good but not 110.

I just did mine this morning I have 155 on both cyl I hope it's ok I was told when I got the sled it had 500k on a new engine Riverside did it 2 years ago we only did 400k last year. I think 110lb is too low you should be with in 10% of the other cyl. Check with two comp gauges my other mech and I test using both at times you can get two diff measurements :):)

Ok pulled cord 6 times with throttle wide open and got 130 on pto side and 140 on mag side. probably good but because of the miles 2400, gonna do crank and piston's and rings, just to be safe. That was cold when compression test was done, never did it when hot lol.:d:beer::beer::beer:
