Risers on a cat

i have a 2008 M8 how big of a riser can i go before i need to extend my throttle and brake?

instead of a rise I would suggest you put the extendable steering post that the 09's have. The kit is around $300 amd a direct fit. I installed one on My 07 M1000 and love it. with this kit you get the best of both worlds.

I agree with pipes, as I have installed the cr racing offset post on my 05 king cat with the Powermadd 3 1/2" Rox Risers moving the post forward and up making it more rider forward. With your cat you can probably go up two inches without having to change your throttle and brake cables. The best way to tell is to romove the bars and lift them up and see how much play you have.

4 inchs is max and you have to slack up your brake cable and look for binding and straining cables before you put it back together and mines a 08 m1000 witch is the same thing as yours

:beer:3 inch and you will have no probs.... i have 5 inch on mine and had to buy 09 cables but dose she ever feel good 30 bucks for cables not bad.:d

Just put a 3" on yesterday with NO problem's....anybody have any ideas for gettin the pad back in place? I think I'm going to take mine to a upolster and see if he can massage it and add some length!

Just purchased the Telescoping one at Echo for $226. Hoping the install isn't to hard on a 06 M7. I have a 4" on my other 06 M7 with no cable extensions.

26 of Gibson and a good friend in your garage and you should be set.
