Riding in Fernie?

Looks like we'll be spending the long weekend in Fernie. We're going to have our sxs's with us, we're looking for a nice family ride...not really looking for mud or nasty aggressive trails. Is there much for Forestry Service roads, or such? We'll be staying in a hotel, so camping isn't needed. Is there still too much snow?

Koocanusa not too far from fernie. Pretty decent trails all over out there. And lake is fun this time of year!
