Hi folks
There are quite a few sleds on the trails this weekend and on the ice.
Quite a few ditch banging along 831.
In my opinion there is not quite enough ice yet but those take the chance.
Measured the ice depth today and I see about 7 inches in front of block 14, I'm not too
comfortable until I see 8 to 10 inches for a sled or quad. There is Top water under the ice in spots so
prepare for that as well.
I was out walking the trails today and there will be a good base to start the season.
The hunting season at the lake is over at the end of the month and I will start the packing
then.
BertaB there is no rentals at the the lake but you are 90 minutes from the city
so come out and explore the area by day.
The County has plowed out the staging area this week so there is
lots of parking.
Go 5 km north of the Store at the long lake turn off and turn right off 831. Go about 1 km and you can't miss the
staging area
Now I'm going to let you folks know that the trails being so wet this summer sure took a beating by the atv's, the ruts are deep so it will take a pile of snow to fill them
so cut me some slack, I'll do my best to smooth things out.
Ill bring up the Staging site so those wanting to ride here can find the map.
So the season is off to a Bang. Let's get those Snow dancing shoes on and get
some snow out here at the Lake.
See you on the trail
