Looks like it'll be another season on the old sled. Going out to the garage today to put a new(er) stator and recoil on the engine and should be good to go!!
Big updates this year will be plastic ski's.....but only after we get some real snow and the rock bashing is done for the season. The stock steely's are great for that crappy early season riding. Will probably still keep them for the November rides every year.
How many guys are still riding a wedge in the mountains? Gotta be a few cool wedge mods left out there in Alta and BC....US??
Old pics for now, will add some new ones this week while I am working on it.
The 650 from Hell:
A long time ago, somebody started with a few chunks of aluminum, built a custom bulkhead and created this sled. NOTHING is from the original sled that I have registration for. I have reg's for a 1987 Indy 600! Ha! A few of my own updates with the seat, bars and 151" track and it's a great old mountain sled that gets looked at and commented on more than the new sleds at the cabin or the parking lot!!
When this windshield finally does get ripped off the sled for good (already happened quite a few times!) I am going to hang it on the wall! (yes, I know the bars are off-center in the first pic. Ha!)
and that sound.....
