Well 140miles up the Athabasca to the richardson river for 5 days of fishing,
was a great trip fishing was awesome as usual.
water levels were very high tho, richardson got all jamed with logs the night before we left, took 5 hrs to get thru.
All in all awesome trip, next year uranium city.

Hey, good work:beer: Can't beat the fishing up there that's for sure. We've made the trip up there for Solstice the last few years, always an adventure. We had a trip planned for the Richardson this year for the week of the 13th but canceled because of the damn fire. Ended up going south this year, good times, but it's not the Richardson/Delta.:d:d How was the ride up, it sure looks like it burned up pretty bad, did Embaras survive? Did you stay at the cabins on Richardson? Did you go in to Chip for gas? Must of been fun coming back through all the debris.

yah we stayed at the steves cabins, we went to the end of embares thru flechers the lake was rolling hard with the east wind. Had one of the guys from chip deliver 2 45 gallon drums of fuel for us, lot of ch!t coming down the atha B. On a positive note you sure did not have to worry about sand bars his year, you could have driven a ship up the river. Next year we are planing uranium city gonna run a couple prop boats and a couple jet boats. been going up richardson for about 10 years now, done uranium only twice, so it time to do it again.
Lots of big lakers up around uranium.

Did you drop in to Cecils? Must of been smokey up there? The fire came pretty close to the cabins by the look of the map on SRD site. We went up as far as Maurice Bay year before last, epic sunrise/sunsets seem like minutes apart. Nice Lakers, big Jacks in Maurice Bay. One Boat even ventured over to BearTooth Island one afternoon and came back with a boat load of ice they knocked off a Glacier type of thing on the Island. Recharged all the coolers, that was pretty cool:beer::beer: She was a rough ride back to Chip though, that lake is no Joke.:eek:

We did stop at chisels on the way back, gave him our food eggs caned stuff rather then hauling home. Nice little pad there not Ruffin it as bad as I thought. Few years back can back from course island think thats what it was called, not far from gunner mine. Wind was blown and smoke from south shore drove blind in 5-6 foot seas by gps to the mouth of the atha b. Quite an adventure, just love the river country.
Gods land:p

I went up there back in 95-96 maybe, first year couldnt drive a 24' to the cabin on richardson lake, being thats its a shallow lake, the next yr we went and our buddy emil drove his barge to his cabin on the lake, water was a good 12' higher that season. Used to spend lots of time in those areas fishing and quading.
