Guy here at work wants to build a Rat Rod. Does anyone have pics of theirs or seen some cool Rats out there??

Check out "canadian rodder" online lots of info from those guys. And "ratrodsrule" online. those r just a couple that I can think of that I have checked out. endless info once you are in there.

now this is a good topic, i've seen a few in calgary, talked to a fellow a couple days ago, was a chopped 41 chev pick-up, and then i checked out rat rods on kijiji, and there it was for 20k. funny thing was i asked him if he gets hasseled by the federallies, answer was yea, they just want to see it up close. lol now to dream up a rat sled

On the way out to watch the mud bogs a few weeks ago we passed 10-12 of them on the highway just south of Leduc...some interesting units....
It's on of the ways I'd consider going.

if hes building a fordi hav a engine and tranny its a ford 400 big block bored out 30 thou the craink was machined down 10 thou for the main bearigs and 20 thou for the rod bearings has rv cam in it and is bolted to a auto tranny for a 2 wheel drive

Ok for all those that dont sled here is a project that a guy from work has started. I now work part time at "Johnny`s Rat Rod Shop".

Will post some pics of the start then will add more to keep it going.

#3 pic This is the donor car that will be used for the drivetrain and whatever else will work
#4 pic what remains of the donor car after parts have been stripped off. Was a 1988 Mustang 5.0 litre V/8

i put that same engine (5.0l h.o efi) in my 66 mustang...man did that thing ever rip!
