My boss has the exact same truck. Was it 31,300 before or after your trade?

That was after trade however, this was factoring in i owed 10k on my 2010 Chev, with 104,000. Would have been a hair over 20k if it weren't for that. They gave me 18,000 for mine, which I though was ok. They started at 14! I laughed out loud.

The 31,300 included the tax, little extras like mud flaps, liner, trailer mirrors, floor mats, bug deflector, and two extra years of bumper to bumper (2400 bucks) on everything.

I drove a 5.0 as well, and while I did love the exhaust note, that was about it, it did have get up and go for sure, but nowhere near the torque of the V6 I felt.

The sticker on the window said 49,800, which I thought was slighty insane, but the ford incentives are pretty good. GM was 0% financing, but hardly incentives. Borrowing the money didn't cost a lot anyway.

I wasn't a huge fan of the new GM trucks. At least up here, the trucks were pretty plain jane, and priced in the mid 40's and the dealer wasn't moving on price. The backseats felt pretty thin compared to the Ford and there was definately less room.

I really like the Ecoboost actually. I love all the power is down low. I can easily see how mileage would be in the toilet in the hurry, if you don't absolutely feather the gas, but if you do, its alright, better than my Silverado so far. But if you don't feel like driving like a granny, then it has a ton of jam!

Good enough for the girls I go with, that's for sure.

I am on the fence if i should go with a gmc 1500 with a 5.3 or maybe the 6.2 or go up to the 2015 2500HD with the 6.0 gasser.Trying to get some more info about the new 2500HD and from what i can see on the gm website you can only get 4:10 gears with that gas engine, you have to go diesel for 3:73's which i dont want as i am only towing the trailer 8 to 12 times a year.just wondering if anybody has some real world stories about the 6.0l, i am not expecting great mpg with it as i drive a F-150 with a 5.4 in it right now and i am towing with it but there are times when i want to take on a long trips empty and dont want break the bank with fuel. Thanks for any info.

Real world is I came from a fleet full of the 07 and newer 2500hd GMs. I drove dozens of them and had a personal 09 for 100000 km before it blew up lol. Regardless of gear ratio (3.73 was most common and 4.10 was optional.... 15"s could be different) they were underpowered and slow. The rectangular port L92 heads shift the power band to rpm requirements useless in a heavy truck. 4500 and up they go to beat hell and sound like a race car.... below that is just pure frustration. The 6.2 Super Duty is a much better truck that way... and maybe even the 6.4 Ram although I have never driven one of those.

Mileage is subjective like anything else. I was not impressed with the 2014 6.2 Gm... had hopes but nope... hence why I have a Ford now. But drive all you care to look at and see what you think.

Just pulled the trigger on a new '14 Ram 1500 Sport crew cab 4X4 5'7" box. Loaded with everything but the rear defroster and Ramboxes. Dealer throwing on a Truxedo tonneau. $48000 tax paid (10% Sask), out the door. Employee priced through work.
