A Message From Our Board:
As most of you are probably unaware, the Government is giving Skooks Landing to the First Nations. Skooks Landing is the boat launch for access to the Kechika River, the main access point to hunting areas. The road is not included in the deal and will still be available for public use.
The BC Fish & Wildlife will be having a PUBLIC meeting to discuss Skooks Landing at the FSJ CURLING RINK APRIL 26th @ 7pm.
There will be government representatives as well as various group leaders in attendance. PLEASE spread the word so we get a big turnout and get our voice heard. This affects all hunting and fishing enthusiasts, not just boaters. Contact Jason Palfy at 250-262-1290 if you would like more information.
Hope to see you all there,
Peace Country River Rats
This is the only launch along this stretch of river.
Is used a lot and would be terrible to loss it.
