There's 50-54,000 litres of fuel in one little 'ol super-b tanker bouncing down the highway. Funny how just the odd one disappears now and again but you never hear about it.

with fuel prices where they are transportation costs for that hour are high....

it's all those safety consultants and there friggin recommendations. what else do they have to do while sitting on a lease for 12 hrs a day. just dream up some other safety BS or jerkin around:d.

Just was talking about this exact same problem to some relatives from Kamloops this weekend. What they said is that the Chevron regulates the price I guess, they keep it lower so the other stations have to as well. Once Chevron goes up they all go up, if Chevron stays at the low price, they all stay. Not sure what makes Chevron so important they can run the price but apparently that's the reason (according to them).

so chevron lowered there prices ,shell got mad lowered there prices and so on, my parents ran a gas station for thirty years, it call a Gas War.

The big producers work closely together to avoid gas wars and it has worked for them...

shell/chevron/exxon/husky etc.. are very much jointly owned/managed between ownig stock in one another and joint ventures between them there is not much of a competitive environment between the big players....good for them but badfor the consumer...
