I built a killer mud pit last summer for a freestyle event at my place, I'm a bit more than 3.5 hrs (more like 5hrs) from Edmonton but a person could bring a camper or something to stay in. We may have a mud event or two this summer, at least one for sure to benefit the Peace Valley Snow Riders snowmobile club we started this past fall.

We'll be sure to pimp it on this site (with approval from admin), it would be a ways to travel but this pit is bad azz......250+ feet, 3 stages....moderately deep, pretty deep, and holy s#*t!! no one made it thru stage 3.......:d

you are the perfect candidate.....:d

there was maybe a dozen machines there last year, the event was very poorly advertised and promoted. I never posted anything about it going on until I was provided with the proper insurance papers showing we were covered for liability, and that didn't happen until 5 days before the event.

we built all that stuff you see in the Hucker's Ball thread in 4 days. huge props go out to some very good friends for helping to make anything happen at all, I will guarantee if it happens again we will be all over the place advertising and expect big things. I doubt the freestyle event will go again, there has to be major sponsorship dollars for that to happen, but the mud part is do-able for sure....in fact, it seemed there was a lot more interest in the mud events than the guys doing the stunts on the huge jumps. weird....

we had people come on sunday, after hearing from friends about saturday's events. hardly anyone knew it was happening.....dreadful. the promoter was an idiot, and didn't have a clue what it takes to make an event work. lots of guys came from GP, said there were many more that would have shown if they only knew.

Along with the Medicine Lake poker ralley, I am heading up the Central Alberta Raceways first atv mudbog in Rimbey this year. It will take place on May 16 at the racetrack in Rimbey.

We have run CMRO truck races for the last couple years, with monumentous success, but being this is our first year with the atv's, there may be a few hiccups. Any tips or pointers from people who know what they're doing would be greatly appreciated.
