older piipe new engine

i have the 2010 800 crossfire and i was curious if i could use a pipe kit from a 09 model not they did engine changes between the two years

If its a full system it will work, but it won't be a beneficial as a pipe designed for the h.o motor. The 09 was only 148hp rated.
