Oil in Air Filter housing .....07-500 outlander

I need some help/advice...

Was checking the Air Filter and noticed oil in the bottom of the air filter housing. The air filter was soaked with oil. Any idea why this would be? Both clamps holding the air filter arm were loose, would this cause the problem?
Last time the air filter was open was when I had it in the shop for the first servicing.:dunno:

There was a small layer of oil on the bottom of the housing. The sleeve over the filter was soaked. Called 2 dealers, 1 said that the reasons for this would be going on extreme angles or rolling it or revving at high RPMs for an extended time. The other dealer said that he has seen this in the 650s but not the 500s. He has me checking the air hose from the filter housing unit to see if there is lots of air coming through and to clean the sleeve and keep an eye on it for the next time I use it. :chatterbox:

I re-routed the crankcase breather hose out of the airbox on my '04 400 outlander and it stopped the oil from soaking the filter.
