Here's a thought, Some of our group are going camping/ quadding on the June 15 weekend(weather permitting) thinking just west of Edson. Would like to meet new people who have the same kind of mindset about camping and quadding(long rides, 6-8 hours) quiet evenings around the fire sharing BS stories and a lot of teasing. As some of you know we are all between 45 and 70 ( couples) with a lot of experience. Anyhow if anyone out there is interested in joining us for the day or the whole weekend( friday evening to later sunday afternoon) Long ride will be on sat, shorter ride on sunday. and to meet new people(that is how we met our camping buddies) then you are welcome to join us. The trails are pretty easy for the most part, so good for riders with little experience. 4x4 machine a must although most of the trails are hard packed, there are a few tricky mucky areas.

ps. Not just for newbies. For anyone who wants to meet new people who like the same kind of riding.

West of Edson about 15 minutes, turn right(North) at Rge Rd 192. Go bout 6-8 kms up the road and after you have passed the snowmobile club sign, start watching for a right turn into an old lease(actually about a 45 degree turn). As you get closer you should see quad trails along the road. The lease area will have a gravel roadway in a circle. This is the poker rally site. If the weather has been nasty that road can get bad. Or extremely dusty.

Just thinking out loud here: Your bride might not mind being towed through the mud holes but the gang might not be happy waiting for all those tows.

Because of all the rain there is a possibility that the camping spot will change. The other choice is 1 mile further from RR192 west on highway 16, watch for gravel pit and pond just north of the highway. If we go there it will be as far back as possible from the highway. We are planning on leaving before lunch on friday so i will post just before we leave where for sure we are camping.

See you out there.

Okay the decision is to camp at the gravel pit 1 km past RR192 on highway 16. It is right along the north side of the highway, we will be somewhere in the back, hopefully in the trees somewhere

I know that the ride has been completed, however we are looking at going down to that area this weekend. How were the conditions. Are there a lot of different trails there? Do you have a map of the area? We'd really appreciate any help you guys may have.
