So I picked up an 01 Summit 700. I took it for the first ride tonight and noticed a couple of things about the sled. The sled idles pretty good right around 1500 rpm but at that engine speed the lights get really dim and sometimes they almost go right out. I was thinking it might be the regulator. Any ideas on what I should check?

Also I noticed that my oil light comes on whenever I hit my brakes? Is this normal?

Im not to sure about the headlights, generally they will dim at idle, because of low engine rpm, but not usually to the point where they go out! haha Do they work fine when the revs are up? But your oil light issue is normal. That light is actually the same light for the oil level as well as the park brake, so it should go on when you hit the brake. Those are great sleds, I'm sure you will like it!

The dim lights at idle is normal also. As long as it gets bright as the revs come up. These are very good sleds. You should be happy with it.
