Just purchased my first ATV, a slightly broken 2003 Magnum 330 4X4. It had been sitting for "2 years". We had to dig out the snow and work our way into a shed. No battery, front rack broken, rear rack broken and one front drive shaft tied to the lower arms.
Moved some stuff around like lawn mowers and a washing machine and pulled it outside were we could see it. Tried to jump start it and it refused to run. Opened the air box and could smell fuel like varnish. The guy gave it a shot of either and it fired up. It would idle but nothing more. Handed him 500 and pushed it onto my trailer.
After 2 days of rain, I got it out of the trailer and into the garage. Decided to try my jump pack and it started right up. After a few minutes of milking the throttle I pushed it into gear and spent the next few minutes running up and down the driveway. Running really well at the moment.
But I am at a bit of a troubled spot. While searching for a new CV joint I see where some sites list a joint for the Visco-Lok system and a different joint without the Visco-Lok. Then a 3rd person said his "chart" only listed one CV joint.
Finally I want to do an oil change but I can not find any oil filter other than the K&N, anyone have any ideas what filter options there might be?
