New member needs help.... vr questions....

How there

Just bought a used dragon 2008 700 and after 10km the lights when dim and eventually quit running. Restart sled and it repeats. I have read about the vr being the problem. Bought new one and installed, sled runs but no lights of any kind come on. No dash light, headlight, warning lights.....

I think my ecu is okay? There was no signs of trouble on bottom of it

before I changed out vr at least the lights work work for short time.

Where re do I go from here?

Could be the lighting side of the stator that went. Usually if the voltage regulator goes the lights will go bright and burn out. You can test the stator with an ohm meter but you will need to find out what the resistance should be across the different wires.
