The poor guy is disappointed that he bought a eco boost and realized its not that ecoey and now has to ride his quad to get fuel?

He's riding a child's quad. Any regular quad would have the back tires on or over the tail gate....or break the back window of the truck.

no tracks thru the leaves, if the tires are that muddy the leaves should be sticking to them

Bingo! You'd think that they would be able to get their hands on a modern atv for the modern truck? There's no way even my Polaris 500 would fit without the tailgate down.
This is the 'club cab' with suicide doors, so the box might be a few inches bigger than a crew cab model.

but it does have a power tailgate up and down!! I cant believe it took this long.

He is reaching in over the side of the truck...not a chance. I can barely see over the sides of my stock F150 HD let alone reach in and grab something.
