Looks like Blaney, Matty D, Custer and Byron are the teams eliminated in the 1st round. The round of 12 starts next weekend at Lost Wages, Nevada. Look for a lot of the good teams really push hard for a win there with the Roval and Talledega as the last 2 wildcard races in this round.

Now the hot rumors for ride changes is Jones to RPM, Larsen to the 88 team with Bowman moving over to the 48 and Bubba boy replacing Suarez at the 96 team with Denny Hamlin buying into this team as a part owner. Not sure I would leave RPM to go to the 96 team. I saw Suarez get lapped twice in one TV segment last night. They are slowwwwwwwwww.

Wow shocker today as silly season starts to play out. Everyone thought Bubba Wallace or Eric Jones was going to land the 42 ride for next year but Chip Ganassi today announced that Xfinity hard charger Ross Chastain, the watermelon farmer will pilot the car next year that was driven by Matt Kenseth this season after Kyle Larsen was punted after making a racial slur on an I racing event. Congrats to Ross who will give 100% on every lap I'm sure and is an all around nice kid.

So breaking news tonight as it appears a rumor swirling around weeks ago has come true. Denny Hamlin has teamed up with basketballs hall of famer Michael Jordan to start a new single car team with Bubba Wallace as the driver. They have purchased the charter from Germain Racing and will race next season. Not sure what manufacturer they will have but I'm betting it will be Toyota.
