Nantons quickest.

Go through Okotoks, turn right at the ford dealership, then it comes out on the road to Black Diamond, turn right going til the Hog park road, turn south(left), go south until you get to Tongue Creek road turn right and it will bring you out to Hartel then south on 22....Trust me this is the shortest and qucikest route..grew up in Longview and to find out the best way to get to Calgary and back on 5 bucks gas!...and one eye shut.

For those of us heading out today, just came across this on the weathernetwork.

Alerts: Fernie, BC

All Alerts In Effect for Fernie, British Columbia See all alerts in effect in Canada
Winter Storm Warning Issued at 6.40 AM PST Friday 20 January 2012
Summary Total snowfall accumulations of 25 to 40 cm through tonight and Saturday. This is a warning that dangerous winter weather conditions are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

Details A slow transition from a cold Arctic airmass to a milder but moist Pacific airmass will take place over the BC interior today and Saturday as a major Pacific storm approaches the BC coast and slowly shifts inland. An initial impulse of moisture will move across the interior today resulting in a band of snow producing up to 5 cm except 5 to 10 cm for northern sections of the central interior. The main portion of the storm will arrive in the west later this afternoon and spread to eastern sections of the interior early this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are forecast through tonight except lower amounts of near 10 cm are expected in the South Thompson and East Kootenay regions, most of the Okanagan region and for northern sections of the Fraser Canyon. Snow at times heavy will continue on Saturday in the west and North Columbias, West Kootenay, arrow slocan lakes, Kootenay Lake and Elk Valley regions where an additional 10 to 15 cm are expected. There is also the risk of freezing rain for regions near the US border. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended. The public should be prepared to alter plans or in some cases avoid travel according to weather and road conditions. The forecasts may change slightly as the storm develops and moves inland. Please follow the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at Road conditions can be monitored at WWW.DRIVEBC.CA.

Let's all drive safe, arrive alive!

We just hit the highway, just at the Leduc exit. Watch for the Sledbunnyracing / snowamdmud.com trailer.
Looking forward to Riding Fernie.

If we see you pulled over, do we stop for a beer, or just wave and continue on?
