I just bought a 06 Rev with an upgraded track to a 162" Camoplast. Ski-doo makes a 159" and a 163" so I thought I would measure it and on the inside of the track it measured 161"??? I can not see a stamp or any markings.

What is the correct way to measure a track?

If it is an 07, with a stock track, you can bet it is a 2.52" pitch, which means it is a 159"

163" is a 2.85 " pitch, they came out in 2008 for doo

162 track has a 3.00" pitch

Not sure if there was a 3.00 pitch 159

OK, how his the pitch measured? That is the angle of the paddle isn't it? Your not referring to the length of the paddle are you? This paddle is 2.25" and there is no more room for anything longer to fit under the tunnel.

Pitch is the distance between paddles in inches .find the part number on the track and someone will figure what it is

yeah, pitch, to make it simple, is the centers of the driver teeth, of the track windows. They went to a 3.00" pitch to save weight, but that caused a problem that you could only run 7 tooth on some models with a certain track. I believe they went to a 2.85 to get an 8 tooth to work and keep the weight savings, I dunno, if that is why...

to measure a track, measure the distance between the centers in inchs then count how many centers on the track and multiply the two
ie 2.52 X 63 = 159

Thanks Rob, :beer::beer:

Based on that info I have a 159" track (2.52" centers x 63 windows) and 10 tooth drivers. (Not what I was told when I bought it! :rant:)

Been riding for over 20 years and that's some useful info I didn't know, Thanks Guys!
