I have a 2010 m8 and i have a cpc pump gas turbo on tbe way for it. I have heard that this pistons are not holding with the extra combustion pressure, is there any truth to this? Should i put 09 pistons in or go ahead with the factory 2010 pistons?

The crazy canadian put over 4000km on his turbo cat last year with stock pistons and didn't have any issues so yes you will be perfectly fine. As long as you dont go over 20lbs boost that is anyways, a buddy of found out that catastofic engine failure happens at 22lbs and the belly pan becomes a catch pan for parts at that boost. But he was tryin it out during a snow drag race and it didnt work out well.

22lbs boost = oops! So 18lbs is still safe down to what altitude? What would you suggest is max for drag racing at 800-1200ft?

I'm not positive. Should be able to handle 16lb for drag race purposes.
