I have an M8 and love it. If you like boondocking buy an M8 if you want to climb to the moon by a M1000:twocents:

I have a m1000 with a 162. I can tell you that the next sled that i will get is a M1000 with a 153. I love the power however the track is just a little to long for me. We also have an 04 800 and I like the power of the 1000 much more then the power of the 04 800. I don't know much about new 800's however that is just my :twocents:. That is unless Cat comes out with the 800 turbo then I would get the 800.

yea its a boondocker/arctic cat combination.... pump gas kit i heard like 17g USD to get one... im not actually sure if AC dealers are going to be selling out of there showrooms or if its a BD thing... but none the less im sure if you wanted one bad enough it wouldn't be to hard to get your hands on one.

I had an 5 M700 and it was great , this year I upgraded to a M1000 and it is worth every penny!! I would say that 75% of our ridding is boondocking to. No complaints here . :)

Whats the top speed around on these stockers is the 8 a bit higher, buddies nightfire 1000 slower than my xp.:d

yea i haven't seen any doo 800s beat a stock 1000 top speed... those 1000s have some pretty long legs. Maybe your buddy has his 1000 clutched incorrectly for whichever elevation you are running at??? don't really know... my dads stock 1000 rips and its reliable!

hear this lots (hard on fuel) but I've had an '07, '08, and '09 M1000 and everybody else I ride with burns the same amount or close to it. When your gauge reads empty look in tank there's probably still 3-4 gallons left, bottom of the tank is wide. just my 2cents.

I'm with you on this one hurtinalbertin. Rode with Doo's & Poo's and when we fill up at the pumps at the end of a ride, not much difference.
