I have two sets of exhaust in the garage for 07 M1000.

I have a stock exhaust system so was considering putting one of these sets on. What's the difference between the bikeman(black) and D&D(polished), other than color of course.

The D&D is probably ceramic coated and would hold pipe heat better. As the say, "A hot pipe is a happy pipe"

Just found out the D&D exhaust is from a D&D 1200 Big Bore kit, anyone know if it will work on a stock 1000? Or would it be special to the big bore kit?

Well the Bikeman kit is brand new, and the D&D kit was only used for a few hundred miles as the sled got turboed. Cant justify selling and taking the hit $$$. If the D&D kit wont work the Bikeman will.

Got an email response back from Dale @D&D, I dont know if its because he was emailing from iphone or what, but it was of absolutely no help. Called Bill @Dons Speed Parts, he said I might experience a low end bog due to the pipe being slightly longer than the 1000 pipe, but the pipe body is identical.

Still dont know what to do.......

I have a set of twin jaws pipes and stingers for sale. only used them for a few hundred miles. Had to go back to a single pipe since i put turbo on. Twin pipes work great though. Great power. They are for a 2008 m1000. pretty sure they are the same? Only asking $600 they were like $1200 new after shipping. Not trying to hijack, thought you might be interested.

this is the video of the pipes when i first put them on my sled. they sound awesome too.

From my experience the 1000 pipe actually works better on the d&d 1200 big bores than there 1200b/b pipe does. So as far as i'm concerned i'd go with the bikeman set-up. Neither one is the best one to use but the bikeman shouldnt be to bad. The best exhaust set-up to use on an M1000 from my personal experience is a speedwerx w/jaws can, very close second is slp. With all the issues ive experienced with d&d in the past couple years i dont sell nothing of theres and dont install northing of thers anymore, its cost me money dealing with there stuff and alot of headaches. Also one VERY LARGE thing for me is when im looking at using or selling something is do they test in the mtn's? And if not then i try it out and test it on my own sled first before i will endorse it as a good product. That being said ive never tried any of bikeman's exhausts.

They do sound awesome. Ive rode with a couple guys with them on there sleds. The only downside ive seen to twins on the 1000 is they seem to be fairly finnicky. Buddies were always having to tune there boondocker boxes.

strange you say that, i honestly bought a stiffer primary spring thinking id need it to put the power to the ground out of the hole but my 2008 it worked out perfectly and had no issues. however, i have heard the same thing from some people. Never had to change my Boondocker box settings once. I do have the box for sale with the pipes if anyone is interested :) $800 for all of it.

another good mod that my dad did to his 2007 m1000 twin jaws set up was buy the 11.5" (i think) secondary clutch. Gave it a wider shifting range and a hard hit out of the hole. Worked out very well for his. sorry i cant remember the name of the clutch.

Those are the ones BMP put on the website after I phoned them. I was hoping someone would have numbers from around here.

what is your fuel pressure? That will tweak the #'s a bit. I'm surprised they are adding 11% more fuel on the top at very little throttle load, I can see it at Med and High maybe.
