Leaking oil during roll-over

Every time I roll or excessively tilt the sled over to get unstuck,oil leaks out the oil filler cap. Anyone else notice their Pro doing this also?

did it to me the other day.......

then I burnt a belt because the oil was slicking the damn thing up....

It's quite easy to cross thread the cap, thinking it's tight on there. Make due attention when you're tightening.

If that's not what happened, they might leak!!

oil cap has been blamed on engine failures also. venting issues.

most likely cross threaded the cap. seams to be a common occurance.

If the tank is out of round, you should get a oil tank insert ring. We have them for $25.00 in Calgary. It fixed up my E-Tec.

get oil tank insert it will cure the problem should be a polaris fix but it probably wont be

When i was away from home i had the same issue with the cap I wrapped 3 wraps of electrical tape on the tank threads and threaded the cap 3 times and it has worked great, but i should get the insert as well.

must be something to do with the plastic. skidoo's do the same. looks like they are thinner, and may deform? insert should work the best.

the vent its self is in the cap.

try not filling it allthe way up that might help a bit
