KTM 250 XC electric start

hey so i have seen that the ktm 250 and 300 has electric start which is a relief to me because i had electric start on my last bike and i dont wanna go back to kick start but anyways just wondering if they are reliable and if they work good because i have hear from a friend that the second ride he went on he had electrical issues. Or if you have used the gas gas ec 300 aswell

I've got a KTM XC450 sport quad, and I've never had a problem with the Starting system on it. My buddy rides a xc250 dirt bike and he hasn't either.

I know my quad has a throttle position switch, and a clutch switch that won't let it start if the throttle is opened or the clutch isn't pulled in. I've heard of a few guys having issues with the TPS being out of adjustment and it preventing a start. I'm not sure how different the wiring is from quad to bike, I have never bother asking my friend.
