No one thought that that Kovalchuk was going to the Devils....They gave up alot for a rental unless they can sign him in the off season.

I am surprised as well but New Jersey will be a force I think. It will be interesting to see what happens in Atlanta . If they are going to make hockey work or is this an opportunity for Jim Ballsili to try to buy another team. With Kovi gone - it frees up alot of cap space .

Kovi just wanted a chance to be on a winning team,Stanley Cup,a possibility being on one of the best teams in the NHL.
