The bike is all stock and was very well taken care of. The guy I bought it from said it had been sitting for awhile so the carbs had to be cleaned but runs like a top. The problem is it has no low range. High and reverse work fine. What is stumping me is the fact that there are no noises. Everything in the motor is quiet. When you take it from high to low it acts just like you put it back in neutral. The bike revs and rolls just like in neutral. I'm just looking for any opinions before I tear the motor out and tear it down. Thanks

Pat

Could be a few things,

Shifter not adjusted properly
Bent/worn shift fork
The teeth that drive the low gear have been sheared off

Have you drained the oil and checked for metal?
