Hello.
I am from Vancouver, BC.
Just purchased a 2001 Summit 800 Highmark, first real sled i've had, I also own a Yamaha exciter 250, and a Skidoo 340. Before this sled the largest one I had riden extensively was an Arctic Cat 530. The new sled is bigger and has more potential, so im super stoked to get going. It has some issues that need addressing though, and I'm hoping someone can help me out with finding a local shop that takes care of these old ZX framed machines.
Anyways super excited to be sledding this year, hope to meet some of you, if anyone wants to go for a ride or impart some wisdom regarding the 800`s send me a PM.
Regards,
Easton.
PS: Anyone got any funny stories regarding purchasing their sleds? I was looking at my sled and testing it without the owner present (trusting guy, eh?) and was satisfied so i got on the phone and called him up, negotiated a price, and came to an agreement. My dad who was with me to help load the sled got a little impatient, and not 30seconds after I purchased the sled he jumps on, starts it up, and immediately guns the throttle. The sled hits the ramp, runs up the trailer and impacts the front bar. The trailer (which was on loan from a family friend) gets damaged, and the sled takes Body and possibly minor mechanical damage (havent had a chance to inspect yet).
PSS: looking for a bottom pan for a 2001 Summit 800 if anyones got one =).
