I have a 2001 Honda Foreman 450 s I have changed the float valve and pressure diaphragm and spark plug but it still runs like crap. It backfires and stalls at low idle it is like the engine is missing. I heard that if the exhaust pipe is burnt out that might be the issue. Is that possible?

I have a 2000 450 that does the exact same thing. I changed the spark plug out as well. Back fires like a sumbish when idling down steep hills, & will stall when idling. All I have done is turned the idle up. Also, check your air box, mine was soak with oil.

low speed jet in the carb, take the carb apart and clean every little hole with a torch tip cleaner.

I'll clean the carb I haven't rode it in about 2 years so I'm thinking it's gummed up as well

Your timing could have jumped a tooth off I've had to work on to bikes like that or the timing chain stretches and makes it run like crap
