Alberta Beach Trail report
We will be installing the posts on the lake on Sunday Dec 9th. This will confirm that the ice is safe for snowmobiles, but only where the posts are.
The trail has enough snow to ride but we still can’t groom as the ice may not be strong enough to hold the groomer where it has to cross beaver dams and lakes. If the weather stays cold we hope to groom for Christmas providing there is enough snow. The trails have trees removed and signage checked and is ready for use. If you see anything that creates a safety concern please contact us and if you can correct the problem we would be grateful for your assistance. Have a great riding season and join us in our activities. It is your trail pass that helps pay for costs and gives you permission to cross private property on some sections of the trail. Please display so the landowners knows you have the right to be on the trail on their property. Please stay on the trail or privileges could be revoked.

Is it true that an ASA pass is not valid on the trailseekers trails? You have to buy a $60 membership (same as ASA) to ride there? Are these private trails? Does this mean that the Trailseekers are not a valid ASA club?

Trailseekers left due to a pissing match between the two primaries, Trailseekers took all their marbles and went home as near as I can figure. I believe TylerG has more info.

Just got back from Alberta Beach trails. Staged from Alberta Beach. Lakes still aren't groomed. Seen a few places where there is a little bit of top water but the lakes were dry for the most part. Big thank you to the groomer operators we passed twice on the trails today. Lots of snow and they did an awesome job. We went past Stranger Hills up to the first corner and turned around and the trails were great. This cold snap should help set them up good and it was snowin pretty good on the ride back to the truck.

In regards to Sangudo.
From Rangerton you head north up the river. Sangudo is about 40 km up the river. You cant miss the town as there is the train track bridge and you go appx .5 km past it and turn right and head by the race track, hockey rink etc. The gas station is at the north east end of town. The bar is at the south end of town next the tracks and there is a restaraunt on main street.

An update from Marvin from Friday January 3, 2014 on Alberta Beach Trails

Full day grooming 13 hrs. We started Just east of R groomed to G. Did F to E and D to C. Map on web page. Alberta Beach Snowmobile Club Wes is the main groomer operator(in picture) He spends 100's of hrs. each year cleaning trail, repairing groomer and grooming. This Groomer is 14' wide at blade with a total length about 35'. Try turning this puppy around on the trail. Top speed is 12km(average speed . 6 way blade with 2 wings and used 220 liters of fuel today. Seen 20 sleds on the trail and most did not have trail passes. Hay guys this is a team effort anti up and buy trail passes. There has been a 100 volunteer man hr's put into grooming this year(not counting all the preseason work) and the season has just started. Still can not groom lake as ice not at 18". Lake still has flood water so stay close to the posts and don't stop. Enjoy the great snow we have.

He also included these 2 photo's:
