Ideas for hooking ramp on home made deck.

So, I have built the deck (single deck within truck box) and am trying to come up with ideas on how to hook the ramp to the deck for loading/unloading.

Anyone done this and have any advice regarding do's and dont's? or what you would do 'next time'?

put a small tail on the deck, so that you don't have to lift the back end of the sled up to get your ramp out. and make ramp ends that can hook on,to the deck end literally hook, and not just rest on top. You may also want to put some light chain or a way to lock it from moving side to side or bouncing out. I made myself a deck and have changes that need to be made. Things i said are from experience.

I think I am amlost there. So what material did you use to hook your ramp on the deck? Channel iron? Rectangular tube with a wall cut out?

i just used my old aluminum ramp that is used for loading it into the back of the truck without a deck. and that's why i mentioned make it hook onto it with a tail. I have to lift the rear of my sled to get my ramp out, and the ramp doesn't stay on the deck that well. Especially since my truck is lifted like 9"

Use flat bar and cut and weld it to your angels you need and make an L That should work that's how my dad did it il post pics if I can get to the ramp.

Some 4" X 1/4" flat bar with notches cut out to "hook" onto the the last bar on the deck works great, and is simple to build.

That looks pretty nice.

I had made a couple of homemade signle sled decks out of 2x4's and plywood.

Pinned the ramp to the deck using 1/2" bolts 5"long. set up worked great.
