Will the Coilers or Flamers get the next #1 pick? I see way more upside on the Oilers then the Flamers so I'll say "With the first pick in the 2011 NHL Draft the Calgary Flames select ..........". Who will be the new GM & Coach in Calgary? The Sutter group hug has run it's course. Oh yeah it's freakin snowin so who cares!

I realize the Oilers have a few trophies but really, they're old as dirt. It's been over 20 years since you guys won anything. Not exactly much to brag about anymore.

The Canucks on the other hand have won the Northwest division three of the last four years and have the reigning Art Ross and Hart trophy winner centering their top line.

As for the Oilers building for the future, you really have no choice when you keep sending out an AHL team year after year. I honestly think the Manitoba Moose or the Hershey Bears would have more success in the NHL than the Oilers.

Well, Calgary and Edmonton have something in common.

Think it would be fine with most oiler fans if we get a good pick again. If I would have had to cheer for the loser Canucks all these years I would have become a tennis fan!!!

Coilers are 2 pts. back with a game in hand, maybe Nugent-Hopkins is moving 40 miles south. Unstoppable beachballs flying in cowtown last night.:d

Says Lanny McDonald, "With the first pick in the 2011 NHL amateur draft the Calgary Flames would like to pick from the Dead Rear Rebels, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins."

You heard it hear first, just need the Isles & Leafs to win a few games.

Fawk Feb 4th...Ownership needs to give us a Christmas Prez and skid the Sutter's (ALL of them) on Christmas Eve :d then they can start dumping some of the over paid under performing OLD&SLOW talent on the team.

OVER!!!

ps...I predict you are probably right as to where the FLAMERS will be in the standings but the NUKS will lose again in the second round (Lord Stanley's Mug will NOT be paraded on Robson in 2011) :p
