I don't know if I'm just retarded or what but I have the old cable all spooled out.
I read that you should just be able to push the old cable in the drum to lossened it and then pull it out. I can't push mine in. How is it secured in there?
Its a Warn 2.5.
Any help would be appreciated, thnx.:beer:

P.S. I'm replacing with synthetic rope.

Should be a small wedge in the drum that the cable threads thru and tightens when you pull on the cable.

In case you haven't got this far yet, synthetic can kinda be a pain in the rear to get through the hole. I had luck by using electical tape and taping the end so that it tapers to a point to help pull through. Once you got it through, just tie a knot in the end of the rope, don't bother with a wedge of somesort.

Cheers
