how often should you change oil on a 400ex?

i'm thinking of getting a 400ex sometime but i'm wondering how often should you change the oil? I would just be driving on gravel roads, grass ditches and the occasional dirt field.

.What's it hold? A pint?? Not like you are talking big money. I'd change it after every good weekend or so.

the owners manual should tell ya how often. If your looking for that magic machine that doesn't require any maintenance then this sport isn't for you.

Ive voiced my opinion on this subject enough. Oil is cheap and an overhaul is high priced. figure out how deep your pockets are and decide from there!

Quite often, depends on where u riding. Muddy/dusty trails I'd be at least checking the oil after every ride. Another important thing is too keep the filter clean to limit the amount of dust particles. Quads require oil changes frequently due to the terrain they travel
