How far from Edmonton to get decent riding conditions

I would like to travel to Edmonton and meet my son and do some sledding this week end, how far do I have to go to be able to find sledding snow. At Christmas we traveled to Swan Hill to ride?please and thanks

alberta beach area has some snow in the fields and ditches, if you have your asa pass, the ab beach trail system might be not a bad idea. for more info on the trails and stuff pm bogger. white court is also only 1 hr n/w of edm, little closer than swanhills and should have decent snow after the dump we just got

Conditions are good around WHitecourt after last week's snowfall. The groomer has been out the last few days smoothing out the trails North of town. Lots of cutlines to ride out that way off of the trails too.
