Hey Man
If your going with the Rev chassis and not the XP get an 06. I dont know a whole lot about the 1000 but i know there is a lot of inexpensive used ones to be found out there. Either way good luck and have fun with the new sled

Welcome jaywross, the 1000's are a tad on the heavy side but if your size and skill can control em'...they're just dandy!. Can't go wrong with an 800 in terms of power to weight. either way, you'll be tickled with the difference coming from a 600. Good luck:cool:

My opinion stay away from the 1000 and go with the 800 XP 2008 or newer

Welcome to the site!!!:ThumbsupMsn:
The 1000's are really nose heavy, so if you can control it they are fine, but if not the 800's are weighted perfect and easy to maneuver!!!
