Buddy has a 2009 Summit X with brake problems. He needs a master cylinder assembly. Honestly never knew these wore out.
So what's our best option for a replacement?
Can we rebuild it?
Order new from dealer for too much $$$ and a week delivery time.
Or any place in central Alberta to find used stuff?
thanks

Is it actually toast or did it get upside down and full of air?
First time moving for a year, and it started with a squishy lever and had no brakes.. The fluid was all contaminated, removed assembly, cleaned the reservoir and hose and it will not pump/pressure up any fluid.
Now silly question, pumping the lever should get fluid moving out the hose correct? No different than bleeding brakes on the car?

They are bled backwards from a car,use a big syringe from the brakes till no bubbles

Pump living bejeepers out of the brake lever. If that doesn’t work ive had success zip tying the brake lever down over night.

Just remember air bubbles want to go up. Most likely air locked. If you took the master cylinder completely apart be positive it’s assembled right.
