We have been using the LIC Goggle cams for a while now, starting out with the 720's and then the 1080's. The big advantage is you shoot where you are looking and you do not have to worry about your helmet cam being knocked off going through the trees. Alot of the teething issues like overbrightening and helmet fitment with the first models of the 720's have been taken care off with the newer generations of 1080's. If you want a 1080 cam and be able to take footage from different angles like your running boards or your bumper, then LIC has brought out the Ego this year as well. We will have all three models of cam's at the Saskatoon show including a selection of mounts for the Ego's.

The Liquid Image EGO is a mountable HD Action Camera that is also Wi-Fi enabled to work with Android and IOS iPhone platforms through a downloadable App. The Ego is highly adaptable and can be mounted with a variety of accessories, it is much more than your average helmet cam.

  • WiFi enabled Full 1080P HD Mountable Action Camera
  • Camera can be controlled via WIFI with smart phone though ActionConnect App
  • Video Mode records HD 1080P Video up to 30 fps and HD 720P up to 60 fps
  • Photo Mode records 12.0 MP images through a 135 degree lens and includes a continuous photo mode
  • Records to a Class 6+ micro SDHC card up to 32 GB (sold separately). A 4GB card records approximately 2 hours of video. Camera records approximately 1,000 or more images or 30 minutes of video per 1GB of memory added.
  • Rechargeable Lithium Battery (included) lasts for approximately 1.5-2 hours in the HD Video Mode.
  • Available in a variety of colors

I'm thinking I'll be picking up the Drift 170 this season.

We use the drifts..My first one I lost... but now they've improved the goggle mounts.. it's a good idea to use a tether type system.. I've seen with fishing line, or a steel leader. It comes with wicked awesome mounts. I love the LCD screen because we can see what it is we are filming, and adjust the camera angle accordingly.

Just pre ordered the gp3. Should be awesome. A little worried about hitting branches and losing it but we'll see I guess. The 1440 should set this apart from any other cam as long as you are able to edit. It seems like all the reality shows are using them

Been using the hero 2 for awhile now an love the quality, multiple shooting options. If worried about losing cam I always tie a string to the base of the gopro an secure it to my helmet, incase it decides it wants to film from a different angle

I have used my Drift for sledding and dirt biking. The wrist remote, LCD screen, and noise when turning on and off are great features.
I wouldnt trade it for a GoPro ever
