3/4 boomer weights 27lbs.......Just because that's what YOU'VE seen used doesn't mean they aren't around or used. 3/4 are around and if you can't lift them by hand, then why is a 5 year old commenting? Because that's about the only person who can't handle them by hand with ease. 3/4 chain weights about 5.4lbs per foot, same thing applies....if you can't handle it by hand somethings wrong.

And as I said, that is the reason I don't use 4, the chains and boomers will hold in a accident, something else will go first. And whether 2 or 4 chains are used, you are attached to the trailer in the same 4 spots.

...................na nuff said already 100-150 lbs of chain, 60 lbs of boomer 10+ times per day add it up it gets really old really fast.

Of course I don't drive. I'm all talk. Just like you.

and for the record, o supreme god of all things known to man, 2 chains and boomers is NOT the same thing as 4. if 1 or your 2 chains breaks(not likely, but it does happen) or even loosens up, you now only have 1 chain holding the load in 2 spots. with 4 chains and boomers, if 1 lets go, you still have 3 chains holding in 3 spots. pretty sure even you ~cycle~ can see the difference..........well, at least i hope so. in any event, thank chit i don't live in or near edmonton with you out driving around

cyle is god of all......he knows more about building than the builders, more about hauling than the haulers, more about trucks that the people who sell them......every night when i go to bed i hope that i can be just a little more like cyle....

oh yea, and i know a guy who hauls bob cats everyday who when i helped him chain down a bobcat made me pull the one chain i had in a the back and put 2 because he had just gotten a fine the day before for only being tied down with one front and one back......that is all

So this is one chain two boomers. Chain is slack in the middle. Does that count as 2 points of attachment or one.

bobcat made the journey... load came in at 6000lbs. Used 2 3/8 chains and 4 boomers. Pretty sure that clasifies as 4 attachment points.
