Grooves in clutch faces What causes them??? POSTING FOR BERNOFF!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen some unexplainable grooves ( some quite bad). Perhaps some foreign object gets smooshed into the belt long enough to do some damage and then gets worn or thrown out. Look over the belts real close, keep an eye on the grooves to see if they get worse or not. I wouldn't worry about it being that low on the sheave, they might wear smooth over time.
